Hyderabad: Telangana farmers have produced record-breaking paddy produce in response to Rythu-centric policies by the Congress government in Telangana, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy claimed. Farmer centric initiatives like Rythu Runa Mafi, Rythu Bima, Rythu Bharosa, 24-by-7 free power, and water availability in most districts in the last 2 plus years, he said. Taking to X, Chief minister Revanth said, “In this insightful and well-researched piece, Prof Aldas Janaiah, vice-chancellor, Prof Jayashankar Telangana Agriculture University, argues that the Kaleshwaram project has got no role in this abundant paddy production in Telangana.” Borewells are singularly responsible for 100 percent growth in the irrigable area in Telangana, CM Revanth Reddy claimed. However, Telangana has not shown any growth on that front in the last 10 years.
