ISLAMABAD, Aug 12 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari, Wednesday, received the credentials of Ambassador-designate of Italy Ugo Ciarlatani and Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Korea Han Sungho at Aiwan-e-Sadr. While talking to Ambassador Ciarlatani, the president expressed confidence that his tenure would contribute to further strengthening Pakistan-Italy relations. During his meeting with Ambassador Han Sungho, the president said Pakistan attaches great importance to its multidimensional relationship with the Republic of Korea. He expressed Pakistan’s desire to further expand trade and investment ties, noting the ongoing negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, and welcomed cooperation in climate change, development and defence. The president expressed the hope that cooperation between the two countries in areas including shipbuilding, technology and economic development would continue to grow.
