The New Forest Food Festival will be held on August 15 and August 16, and is taking extra fire safety precautions to protect the surrounding heathland and woodland. A spokesperson for the New Forest Food Festival team said: "As an event taking place within the New Forest, we recognise the responsibility we have to protect this unique & much-loved landscape. "Our fire safety arrangements will be closely monitored throughout the event & we will take further precautions if conditions require." Additional staff have been deployed to monitor fire risks, and extra firefighting equipment is on site for quick response if needed. The team is also asking attendees to stay alert and report any signs of smoke or fire to festival staff immediately.
