Russia reduced its oil production by 6,000 barrels per day (bpd) in July 2026 compared to June to 8.887 mln barrels per day (mbd), OPEC reported. In July, Russia’s quota under the OPEC+ deal amounted to 9.824 mbd, with all voluntary restrictions taken into account. Russia’s oil production is currently constrained by the OPEC+ agreement. In accordance with the OPEC+ plan, Russia began increasing production in April 2025, with the output rising gradually month by month. In September 2025, a year ahead of schedule, OPEC+ countries completed the phase-out of 2.2 mbd voluntary cuts and began phasing out 1.65 mbd cuts.
