The Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has donated 3,000 pieces of modern furniture to basic schools in the constituency as part of efforts to address the persistent furniture deficit. The intervention is expected to improve the learning environment for pupils and reduce pressure on schools that have struggled with inadequate furniture. He noted that inadequate furniture can negatively affect pupils’ concentration, comfort and academic performance, stressing the need for continued investment in basic education. The MP urged school authorities and beneficiary communities to take good care of the furniture to ensure that it serves pupils for many years.
