MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Aug, 2026) The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) intensified crackdown on adulterated spices and banned food items and seized more than 12 maunds of adulterated red chilli and destroyed 4,000 sachets of banned gutka in Lodhran and Vehari. The operations were conducted under the supervision of the Director Operations South on the directions of PFA Director General Raja Mansoor Ahmed. In Lodhran, the PFA team raided a grocery store in the Old Grain Market and recovered a large quantity of red chilli powder. In a separate operation in Vehari, the PFA team raided a gutka dealer in Circular road, Mohalla Purani City, Mailsi. He warned that strict action would continue against those involved in manufacturing, storing or selling adulterated and banned food products.
