Cheshire West and Chester Council is offering solar panel and battery storage installations through a group-buying initiative in partnership with Switch Together. "This scheme gives people a straightforward way to explore whether solar panels and battery storage could work for their home, with trusted installers and no obligation to proceed." The scheme builds on last year’s Solar Together programme, which saw 193 homeowners receive quotes and 121 go on to install solar panels or battery systems. Cllr Gittins said: "During last year’s scheme, which was known as Solar Together, 193 homeowners received a quote, with 121 households proceeding to have a solar PV or battery storage system installed." While not every property will be suitable for solar panels or battery storage, the scheme aims to give all households a clear understanding of their options.
