Clear skies forecast for Chester and surrounding areas ahead of solar eclipse

It will be visible from all parts of the UK, though viewing conditions in and around Chester are favourable, with very little cloud and clear, sunny skies throughout the evening.
The Met Office is reporting ‘Very Good’ visibility throughout the day in Chester, though a wider North West forecast does suggest ‘hazy skies at times’.
An exact time has not been given for Chester, but the Met Office estimates that first contact is expected at around 6.13pm for viewers in Manchester and Liverpool.
The point of maximum eclipse will occur between around 7.05pm and 7.16pm and the event is expected to end for all UK viewers by 8.10pm.
