A Russian engineer working at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant was found dead inside the facility this morning. The deceased, 51-year-old Dorokhim Sergei, was an engineer for ATOMTECH ENERGO, a Russian firm operating at the plant. Quoting colleagues, Ishwardi Thana Inspector (Investigation) Md Jamal Uddin said Sergei reported for work in the morning but was soon found feeling unwell in his office. Sergei was rushed to the Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex, where doctors pronounced him dead at noon. “The body has been sent to the Pabna General Hospital morgue for an autopsy,” the inspector said.
