Mount Tabor, Vt. (WNYT) — A 17-year-old Manchester teen and two other teens were hurt in a single-car crash in Rutland County, according to Vermont State Police. Police said troopers responded at about 8:39 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, to National Forest Highway 10 near Ten Kilns Brook in Mount Tabor. Asher Cooperman, who was sitting in the rear on the driver’s side, died in the crash. A 16-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries, and police said that teen had left the scene before troopers arrived to call 911 and was contacted away from the crash site. The driver was taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center, and Vermont State Police said the investigation remains ongoing with civil and court action pending.
