The ruling Modern Revolutionary Party that is absolute majority in Congress announced that it will be keeping Alfredo Pacheco as president of the Chamber of Deputies and Ricardo de los Santos as president of the Senate. Pacheco has been the president of the Chamber of Deputies since the PRM first came to government in August 2020. Previously he had presided the Chamber of Deputies from 2003 to 2006 when the PRD, the predecessor of the PRM, was government.
