On Wednesday, the Notre Dame football communications team announced two injuries that occurred to players during preseason practice. According to Notre Dame communications, both injuries will require surgery. With Augustine out for the foreseeable future, it is now seemingly Absher’s job to lose unless another offensive lineman emerges during fall camp. Through the first three fall camp practices, Augustine worked at both right guard and right tackle. While the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder has shown flashes both in spring practice and during fall camp, the Notre Dame cornerback depth chart is one of the deepest units on the team, if not the country.
