The T&A visited Idle Cricket Club on Cavendish Road - which is now home Prospect AFC - and could see clear evidence of recent blazes on the embankments around the ground. The playing surface - now used for football rather than cricket - did not appear to have been damaged by the fires. Idle was one of the founding-era clubs of the Bradford Cricket League, formed in 1902, and became one of its most successful teams in the mid-20th century.
