Abhijit Nath, NET Correspondent, TripuraAgartala, August 12, 2026: The Tripura Cabinet has approved the allotment of 2.5 gonda, equivalent to 0.0500 acre, of land in Agartala to Commonwealth Games gold medallist and judoka Asmita Dey for construction of a residential house. The Cabinet also approved direct recruitment to 57 teaching posts at the Veterinary Science College under the Animal Resources Development Department. The vacancies include 17 Professor, 20 Associate Professor and 20 Assistant Professor posts. The recruitment will be conducted by the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC). In addition, the Cabinet sanctioned recruitment for 310 vacancies under Tripura Engineering Service Grade-V A and B.
