"Some dogs might become quieter, head towards their bed or start expecting their evening meal or walk earlier than usual. The event also poses no inherent danger to dogs, and owners are advised not to put eclipse glasses on their pets. Mr Beale said: "Trying to put eclipse glasses on a dog could cause more stress than the eclipse itself." Dog owners are encouraged to maintain their usual routine during the eclipse to help their pets stay calm.
