Inflation in the United States (US) is under control at the moment, and that fact is boosting the NASDAQ 100 futures in Wednesday's premarket. The growth index has gained 0.75% following the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) print for July, which came out one hour before the regular open. The headline CPI fell to 3.4%, in line with prior estimates and down from June's 3.5% reading. Also, as expected, annual core CPI fell from 2.6% to 2.5%. Nvidia (NVDA) rose 1.6% in the premarket on the news, while memory chip companies Sandisk (SNDK) and Micron (MU) jumped 5% and 3% as well.
