A GIRL from Llanddulas who “would light up a room on stage” took her own life, an inquest concluded.
The body of 17-year-old Katleho Philomena Nkome, known as “Pino”, was discovered in woodland near her home on Rhyd-Y-Foel Road on the morning of Monday, April 13.
Born in Lesotho, Pino moved to North Wales permanently in August 2024, and was a student at St David’s College, Llandudno, where her father, Christopher Gozzard, taught.
John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales (East and Central), recorded a conclusion of suicide, and a medical cause of death of major blood loss as a result of traumatic femur fracture.
Mr Gozzard added: “I want to place on record my thanks to everyone for their help."
