Stretch of A13 CLOSED as around 100 firefighters tackling huge industrial fire

Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters are at the scene in Barking, with the London Fire Brigade advising residents nearby to keep windows and doors closed due to heavy smoke. A spokesperson for the brigade said: "Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters have been called to a fire on Ripple Road in Barking. 100 firefighters have been sent to tackle the blaze (Image: Zoe Green)"The fire is producing a large amount of smoke. "Residents in the local area should keep doors and windows closed, where possible, as crews respond." The incident has caused major traffic delays along the A13 Ripple Road in Dagenham as smoke drifts across both carriageways.
