However, it said, "The absence of precise quantification did not undermine the core finding regarding the presence of substantial currency notes." On Article III, concerning the explanations and statements furnished by Justice Varma, the committee concluded that the charge was also proved. Following the controversy, Justice Varma was transferred from the Delhi High Court to the Allahabad High Court. Justice Varma resigned from his position as a judge of the Allahabad High Court this year in April.
