SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Aug, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Awais Mushtaq on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the WASA Sialkot board of Management to review the performance of the agency and measures for improving municipal and sanitation services. According to a DC Office spokesperson, the meeting was attended by WASA Managing Director and Board Secretary Faisal Shehzad, representatives of the Finance Department, Planning and Development Department, WASA, Local Government and Housing and Urban Development Department. The meeting reviewed WASA's performance, ongoing projects, improvement of the sewerage and drainage system, water supply and disposal facilities, and administrative and financial matters. The deputy commissioner directed that ongoing projects be completed within the stipulated timeframe, effective monitoring of the sewerage and drainage system be ensured and public complaints addressed promptly. The meeting also discussed proposals for enhancing WASA's capacity, effective utilization of available resources and future development projects.
