The Knox Redevelopment Commission approved $9,600 in masonry work on a city-owned building at 6 North Main Street during a meeting last week.
Commission members discussed deterioration on the side of the building, including bricks that were described as crumbling.
The commission received a proposal for $9,600 for tuck-pointing and related brick work.
During discussion, commission members said delaying the repairs could allow the condition of the building to worsen.
Following discussion, the commission voted to move forward with the masonry work.
