A new Vaping Products Duty will add £2.20 to every 10ml bottle of e-liquid sold in the UK, regardless of nicotine strength, working out at around £2.64 once VAT is added. Tobacco duty is rising on the same date too, by £2.20 per 100 cigarettes. The cigarette £2.20 flat rise comes on top of the standard annual tobacco duty escalator. Starting 1 January 2027, it will become illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone born on or after 1 January 2009.
