'Sleeping beauty' of Ayr hoping for new lease of life after sale

Since 1968, Loudoun Hall, built in the late 1400s and almost unique in Scotland, had been leased from owners the Loudoun Hall Trust by the local authority.
The building has now been taken over by the WMA Group, following a "difficult" few months for the trustees.
"We firmly believe that the WMA Group will prove to be beneficial owners of Loudoun Hall, and will ensure that it continues to play a key role in Ayr.

He said: “I have long believed that historic buildings have a crucial role to play in both the economy and community of Ayr.
