The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arraigned two former public employees over allegations of using forged academic certificates to secure jobs and earn millions of shillings in salaries.
The two suspects were arraigned separately at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court on Wednesday, where they denied the charges.
The commission further alleges that the forged certificate enabled the suspect to secure employment at NCWSC, where he worked from 2007 until December 2023.
During the period, the suspect is alleged to have fraudulently acquired public property amounting to Ksh15.86 million through salaries earned from the institution.
The suspect was subsequently charged with fraudulent acquisition of public property, forgery, and uttering a false document after the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions concurred with EACC's recommendations.
