THOUSANDS of people would flock to this iconic fair vendor for a classic item but things are changing this year. At the New York State Fair, this vendor would often have long lines that customers would happily queue for, just to get their hands on this brilliant snack. Tully’s Good Times has been selected to take over the potato booth in the Horticulture Building, and many are excited that this tradition will be kept alive. Fair director Julie LaFave praised the Tully partnership and commended it for allowing them to keep providing for customers. The New York State Fair will pay a $40,000 management fee to the operator, cover payroll for booth employees and provide the New York-grown potatoes.
