Organisations in the affected area of the Highlands will be able to apply for a share of £3million made available by the Scottish Government, via Highland Council. One charity in the affected area told TFN they had been told they would be eligible to apply for the recovery funding, but it remains unclear whether this is the case and whether voluntary organisations will meet the criteria set out by the council. “This will provide immediate relief for impacted businesses but we will continue to work closely with the Highland Council, HIE and Cairngorms National Park Authority on what further support may be required for the area in the longer term.”
