According to the prime minister, the alleged campaign is part of a “Deep State” plan to artificially fuel Russophobia in Georgia through its agents. “I think society should know what the ‘Deep State’ plan to artificially fuel Russophobia in Georgia through its agents serves,” Kobakhidze stressed. “In this process, various countries that are unequivocally controlled by the ‘Deep State’, including the previous US administration — the Biden administration — used all mechanisms of pressure,” Kobakhidze noted. According to Kobakhidze, this marked a “qualitatively new stage” of an assault against Georgia, its people and sovereignty, which was developing simultaneously along several fronts.
