The new artwork now brightens the exterior of Ilkley Youth and Community Centre, located in ‘The Warehouse’ on Little Lane, after a collaboration with training provider High Speed Training. The centre has run youth clubs in Ilkley since 1993, working with Bradford Council’s youth service to create a safe environment for young people to socialise and access recreational activities. High Speed Training became involved through Participate Projects, a Bradford-based charity that helps connect businesses with ways to support their communities. Three members of High Speed Training’s digital media unit worked with young people attending the centre to design the mural, which blends graffiti-style art with illustrations of Ilkley landmarks. Amy Mortimer, head of social impact at High Speed Training, said: "When we heard about the intention to create an eye-catching external mural for Ilkley Youth Centre, we were excited to lend our expertise to help make it happen.
