A walk uniting people who have lost a loved one to suicide was held at Soldiers Field Park in Rochester. Co-organizer for the event, Peggy Morgan, said losing a loved one to suicide comes with a unique grief, making the feeling the connection among those attending far stronger. “We can complete each other’s sentences because we understand the level of grief – suicide grief is very unique,” Morgan said. “It’s very beautiful to see all the people come together and you know, obviously support the cause of mental health, but it’s also sad to see that so many people are affected by suicide and mental health,” Meyer said. If you or anyone you know is in a mental health crisis, you can call the suicide and crisis lifeline at 24 hours a day at 988.
