Broadland and South Norfolk councils announced that crews will begin rounds from 6am instead of the usual 6.30am to help staff work safely in the heat. It comes ahead of the county's fifth heatwave, with temperatures of up to 34C expected on Thursday. An amber heat health alert was put in place on Tuesday night covering the East of England until at 9pm on Friday. Due to the scorching weather, a spokesman for Broadland Council said: "Please put your bins out the night before collection, or by 6am at the latest. "This includes rubbish, recycling, garden waste and food waste bins.
