It was first reported at around 2.30pm on August 1 on the A11 between Thetford and Mildenhall. The fire started in an SUV and spread to a nearby embankment and hedgerow, closing the road for around an hour. Following an investigation a spokeswoman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue said: "The most probable cause of the fire was overheating of the engine."
