Google’s artificial intelligence-powered Gemini app has surpassed 1 billion monthly users, becoming the company’s fastest-growing service to reach the milestone, CEO Sundar Pichai said. He said Gemini is now the 14th Google service to surpass 1 billion users. The achievement makes Gemini the second-most popular AI assistant after OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which reached the 1 billion-user milestone in June 2026.
