The Marine Trades Institute is inviting the local community to Les Cheneaux Distillers Friday, August 21, to fundraise for its students through “Crafted for a Cause.” The event is intended to support the Marine Trades Institute Student Enrichment Fund. “This evening is about celebrating over two decades of tradition, showcasing our students’ incredible talent, and supporting future marine technicians and carpenters,” Tom Coates, the Marine Trades Institute Development Director, said in a press release. The Marine Trades Institute is still seeking community partners for the event, and select sponsorship tiers include a one-to-one donation match.
