A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.29pm on Tuesday, August 11 to reports of a fire near to the B981 and Clockluine Road, east of Dunfermline. The road was closed for a period, and David Barratt MP named the affected property as Perth Lodge, calling the fire a “sad end” for it. He said yesterday evening: “The property has been unoccupied for a few years, with the owner not being in a position to maintain it. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50pm on Tuesday, August 11, we received a report of a fire at a derelict building on B981 near to Fordell Firs. “Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3128 of August 11.”
