As a result, 30-year-old James McCallum, of Drover Bank, Edinburgh, was back in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court. McCallum had contacted a man who lives in the west Fife area and was to be a witness at a trial. The court was told that the woman has said in an impact statement that her son’s ordeal has “ruined his mental health for life”. The court was told McCallum has significant mental health difficulties and is under the care and support of the charity the Richmond Fellowship. Sheriff Nigel Cooke imposed a community payback order with a year’s supervision and engagement with mental health support.
