Blind Justice UK, based in Brighton, supports people facing courts and tribunals without a lawyer. The charity will use the funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to extend its casework and case review support across Brighton and Hove. The funding will support an additional 40 to 50 people over the next year and will help take on more cases, reduce waiting times and launch monthly drop-in sessions. Edward Romain, founder and chief executive of Blind Justice UK, said: "Most people who come to us are not in crisis yet. "This funding lets us reach more of those people at the point where help still changes the outcome."
