Coniston Mountain Rescue Team was called out to Black Crag at 1.39pm on Tuesday, August 11.
Eight team members quickly responded, taking two vehicles to Iron Keld.
The boy was assessed at the scene after slipping and injuring his lower arm.
He was given pain relief before the team splinted and immobilised the injury in a sling.
He was then taken to Tarn Hows car park, where a vehicle was waiting to take him to hospital for further treatment.
