The Pella Christian girls tennis team will kick off the fall sports season on Eagle Lane tomorrow, hosting Knoxville in their season opener. The Eagles, beginning their second fall season since the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union moved the sport from the spring, are coming off a 9-3 season a year ago. Pella Christian and Knoxville last competed against each other exactly a year ago, with Pella Christian winning that contest 7-2. Those types of things are really important when we start some of our early matches that we’re playing, especially for our new players. Thursday’s season opener for Pella Christian is scheduled to begin at 9 am.
