PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Aug, 2026) Tarbela Dam has reached its maximum conservation level of 1,550 feet following recent monsoon rains and increased flood inflows from upper districts. According to the dam administration, the water level at Tarbela Dam was recorded at 1,550 feet, which is its full capacity, while the dam’s dead level is 1,402 feet. Authorities said water inflow into the dam was recorded at 225,500 cusecs, while the outflow stood at 224,700 cusecs. All the 17 power-generating units at Tarbela Dam are currently operational, producing 4,457 megawatts of electricity. Following the dam reaching its maximum level, police patrols have been increased around waterways in Haripur, Tarbela Dam and the major canals of Ghazi-Barotha.
