The San Diego Padres have been trying to catch the Arizona Diamondbacks in the wild-card race for a couple of weeks now, and they finally managed to turn the race into a three-way tie with the Dbacks and the Philadelphia Phillies with their 11-2 romp over Milwaukee. Jake Cronenworth started the scoring action with an RBI double, and Luis Rengifo turned that first run into a crooked number with a grand slam to make it 5-0.
