The issue, reported near East Tilbury station, has led to a safety inspection and a blocked line on the c2c route towards Southend Central. A c2c spokesman said: "We received a reported rough ride on approach to East Tilbury Station. Further report from a driver has resulted in no train to travel in the Southend Direction at East Tilbury until Network Rail team arrive." Delays of up to five minutes and some diversions are affecting the wider c2c network, with disruption expected until 2pm today, August 12. Passengers needing to reach stations including Stanford-le-Hope, East Tilbury, Tilbury Town, Grays, Chafford Hundred, and Ockendon are being advised to travel to Pitsea and change for alternative services.
