Police confirmed a 34-year-old man from Brightlingsea was arrested on Thursday (August 6) and subsequently bailed after a video was published as part of a sting in the city centre. An Essex Police spokesman said: "We were called to reports a man was attempting to communicate sexually with a child in East Street, Colchester, at about 7.30pm. "He was arrested and subsequently bailed until November, 5 and our enquiries are ongoing."
