Emergency services were called after a fire broke out on farmland close to homes on the evening of Tuesday, August 12 in Ainsworth. The blaze was spotted at around 8 pm on fields between Ainsworth Village and Lowercroft, close to land used to graze farm animals. Farmer Stuart Alderson, said the latest incident was part of a wider problem he had seen during hot weather. Mr Alderson said he had reported the group to police and had also raised concerns with local councillors.
