The Dominican Republic just finished the hosting of what are deemed as the most successful Central American and Caribbean Games ever. The installations built or renovated reportedly were carried out so that the country can host world class sports events in the future. President Luis Abinader has stated the installations were built with the continued use for global sports events to ensure their maintenance and use for the development of Dominican athletes.The track record of keeping up major investments in sports venues is poor in the Dominican Republic, leaving everyone with the question of what comes next.
