The explosion near the main gate of the Barishal Judge Court premises this morning was caused by a crude bomb-like object that was likely thrown from outside to create panic, police said. However, CCTV footage from the area was not clear enough to identify who had thrown the object, he added. "We are sending all the evidence collected from the scene to Dhaka to determine the nature of the explosion. Law enforcement personnel later visited the scene and collected evidence for investigation. Security has been tightened across the court premises since the blast.
