Training for teachers to identify gang links in schools. The Singapore Police Force will train 120 school teachers and social workers starting in the first half of 2027 to prevent youth gang involvement and identify undesirable habits early. Law Minister Edwin Tong announced this initiative on Wednesday (August 12) at the "Consolidate Conference 2026." Students, along with teachers and social workers, will serve as ambassadors. The move addresses recent data indicating an increase in youth involvement in criminal activities, with the Singapore Prison Service noting a rise in inmates aged 16 to 21 in 2025.
