In a special ceremony held at Police Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, Director General of Police Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania felicitated 55 police officers and employees with DGP Discs for their exemplary service, dedication, and outstanding performance. The medal recipients include Director (SCRB) Avinash Kumar, DIAG (Crime Branch) B. Gangadhar, Berhampur SP Dr. Shravan Vivek M, Angul SP Rahul Jain, Nayagarh SP Subhendu Kumar Patra, Ganjam SP Harish B. The awards, announced earlier on the 91st Odisha Police Foundation Day, recognise exceptional contributions in maintaining law and order and advancing police professionalism across the state. The ceremony was held under the supervision of Additional Director General of Police (Modernisation) Soumendra Priyadarshi, with senior officers from the State Police Headquarters in attendance. The DGP Discs symbolise Odisha Police’s commitment to honouring integrity, discipline, and public service — values that continue to define the force’s legacy.
