"Together, with our highly skilled colleagues, they will help manufacture the steel Britain needs now and for decades to come and we look forward to welcoming them into the company at such an exciting time for British Steel."
Sixteen graduates will also join British Steel in September, the first to do so since 2022 following this year’s relaunch of the company’s graduate recruitment programme.
Earlier this year, British Steel reopened its apprentice training centre in Scunthorpe, reaffirming its commitment to skills development.
Training for the Scunthorpe cohort will be delivered by British Steel’s training provider, CATCH, alongside in-house experts.
British Steel was nationalised by the Government in July.
