Graham Kay, 43, of Sunny Blunts, Peterlee, appeared at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court on August 7 for a series of offences that took place on April 11. Kay admitted trying to take Lynx deodorant from Boots in Peterlee without payment. He also pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. Additionally, Kay damaged a cell door, belonging to Durham Constabulary, while in custody at Spennymoor on the same date. The court took into account Kay’s guilty pleas and imposed a six-month conditional discharge for all offences.
