Residents feel 'intimidated' as Teesside family home to become Airbnb or HMO

A barrage of objections have been lodged after a planning application for a residence is expected to turn a family home into an Airbnb or house of multiple occupation (HMO).
The application argues the property remains a lawful C3 dwellinghouse and that there has been no material change in its use.
However, many of the objections focus on what residents describe as plans to continue operating the property as either an Airbnb or HMO.
Residents worry about disturbances in a quiet family neighbourhood that could come as a result of the approval.
Stockton Borough Council previously contacted the applicant over concerns there may have been a material change of use at the property.
